Well we were right about the idea but wrong about the name when we reported on and rendered a "Cayman Clubsport" last week. While it'll officially be known at the Cayman R, this newest model is essentially a Boxster Spyder with a roof that's welded in place rather than one that looks like it could fall off at any second. Allow us to go into the specifics.

Versus a Cayman S, the new Cayman R gains ten horsepower, to 330 total, from its 3.4-liter flat six. Weight, however, is down 121 pounds, to a total of 2855 pounds. That's nearly even with its soft-top twin. As a result, 0-60 times are an even five seconds with a traditional six-speed manual or 4.9 seconds with the seven-speed doppelkupplungsgetriebe. An optional lithium ion battery sheds just a few more pounds but is rather expensive. As an example of the weight savings efforts, the lightweight 19-inch wheels on the car weigh under 90 pounds combined. And the same trimming of useless equipment like the radio and door handles shown on the Spyder is done here as well.

Outside, the Cayman R also gets special touches like a fixed spoiler, black-trimmed headlights and mirrors, and of course the Porsche decals down the sides. The suspension is lowered by 0.79 inches for sharper handling. In the debut photos here, you can also see a special paint color has been devised. We're just surprised to see it still has those heavy fog lights. The car goes on sale in February and will start at $66,300 here in the US. It'll surely be worth each and every penny. We just wonder--since the only thing we journalists could complain about with the Boxster Spyder was the complicated roof, has Porsche just built the perfect sports car?

2006 was the year when Volvo released its new addition- Volvo C30 at the Paris Motor show. This is a ahtchback model with three dors and four seats. The Volvo C30 is absolutly perfect for the city traffic – it’s a compact car with the power, stability and luxury outfit of a sedan vehicle. This model is built on the platform of Ford Focus. The first time it was introdused to the public in Europe was in 2006 while in the USA and Canada this event happened after 1 year. This is a car that combines power and inovation . the Volvo C30 was received by the customers and the critics with mixed reviews. Some like the rare portion of the vehicle, while others say that it looks like full size sedan but flattened in the back part.

And of course C30 has all the features that are tipical for a Volvo- safety first combined with passenger comfort. This models supplies information for the blind spot by a Blind Spot Information System that gives the driver an unabstructed view of the blind spot. Other features are the ABS, stability control, traction control, air back protection- front and side air backs. The bracking preassure and steering precision are observed by an Intelligent Driver Information System . everything is made to keep the driver and the passengers safe and in comfort position.

Volvo C30 is provided with both diesel and gasoline engine. The difference is in horsepowers. 2.5l turbocharged gasoline engine produses 227 hp while the 2.4l diesel engine produses 180 hp. The model can be easily upgraded and customised which is one of the reasons to be compared to Honda Civic.

In 2007 at the Frankfurt Auto Show was presented the hybrid model of Volvo C30. This inovative vehicle can run on both diesel and electricity with a simple plug in to an outlet. The prediction is that this hybrid model will be released in 2009 or 2010. According to many critics and car specialists this is the future in the car industry- electricity.

In 2008 Volvo C30 will be relesed in the USA presented by the 2.5 turbocharged gasoline engine. Whithin the next years when the hybrid C30 is released on the market byers around the world will find this unique hatchback design

The 2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata is a dream, especially for sports car enthusiasts on a budget. It’s fast, agile, great on gas and reliable. Plus makes the Miata its value over its competitors.

The 2011 Miata with largely unchanged – that did the fans and critics. to its combination of exciting handling, impressive quality and long-term value is not something that taunt. And although not a high-end luxury roadster, one can not say if you sit behind the wheel. “This little Mazda delivers as much driving enjoyment – if not power – a 2-seater sports car will cost thousands more,” writes Consumer Guide.

In fact, many believe that the Miata is the best sports car available at that price. Edmunds writes, “the 2011 Mazda Miata retains its position as one of the all-time great Roadster, mixing sophistication and excitement to an affordable, compact package.”

Buyers in the market for a convertible two-seater also controls the Nissan 370Z. For the powers of the Miata with less than 165 ponies, and probably offers a comfortable interior. The 370Z does not trump the Miata in terms of treatment, but the most affordable sports car shoppers will find it still worthwhile. The deal breaker may be convertible. It’s fun and works well, but the Miata is the only vehicle in this class, which features an automatic hardtop. The main disadvantage is that the 370Z will cost almost $ 14,000 more than in the MX-5.

Luxury Car | Ford Focus RS500

Well, that didn't take long, did it? We knew the new 2011 Ford Focus RS500 would move fast, but not quite this fast. Powered by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder that produces 345 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque, Ford's hottest hatch one-ups even the already bonkers Focus RS with its piddly 305 horsepower and 325 lb-ft. Considering that the RS is capable of a 0-62 mile per hour sprint of under six seconds and a top speed of 163 mph, the RS500 should clock in around 5.6 seconds.

What we didn't expect was the fact that the RS500 would sell so quickly. With their matte black paint, 19-inch wheels and all that performance on tap, we certainly expected them to be a hot commodity, but if Autocar is to be believed, the whole run of 500 units has already sold out – some 12 hours after the reveal. Sales will be spread out over 20 European markets, with the UK getting 101 units, Germany getting 55 cars, France receiving 50 and Belgium scoring 50 units, with Denmark, the Czech Republic and Greece getting five units each, while Ireland receives three.

The best part of the story is the fact that all 500 units are already spoken for, even before prices have been announced. Ford is said to be sorting through the letters of intent from customers to figure out dealer allocations. And don't forget, the order books don't formally open until May. With the regular RS trading above sticker on the used car market, we're guessing there will be more than a few flippers in the initial owner group.
